After completing her secondary schooling in Wagga, Tara moved to Canberra where she graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bechelor of Arts (Politics) from the University of Canberra.

From December 2004 until April 2008, Tara worked in various areas of law in the Leeton and Griffith localities, however she was focussed predominately on Family Law.

In May 2008, Tara started working in the Family Law Department of Commins Hendriks Solicitors, Wagga Wagga office.

Tara is currently studying for her Masters in Legal Practice (Family Law).
