Rob was born in Sydney and undertook his studies and Articles of Clerkship with a mid tier law firm.  After being admitted in 1977 he continued to work with the same Sydney firm for another two years, then he travelled overseas for two years.

Shortly after his return to Australia he moved to Wagga Wagga.  Over the years he has had experience in most areas of the law, however over the last 15 years has specialised in litigation, and primarily focused on commercial disputes, accident and health law and criminal law.
